FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHERE DOES CORALIA OPERATE?
Coralia operates luxury liveaboard cruises throughout Indonesia, including Raja Ampat, Komodo National Park, Cenderawasih Bay, Triton Bay, Halmahera, the Banda Sea, Alor and the Forgotten Islands. Each itinerary is scheduled to visit these destinations during their best diving seasons.
HOW DO I BOOK A CRUISE?
Simply contact Coralia Liveaboards directly or book through one of our trusted travel partners. Our reservations team will guide you through cabin selection, payment schedules and everything you need before your departure.
HOW DO I GET TO MY DEPARTURE PORT?
Most guests fly internationally to Jakarta or Bali before connecting to their embarkation city. Once you've sent us your flight details, we'll arrange transfers between the airport or your hotel and the vessel.
DO I NEED A VISA FOR INDONESIA?
Visa requirements depend on your nationality. Many visitors qualify for Visa on Arrival or visa-free entry. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your arrival date. Always check the latest Indonesian immigration requirements before travelling.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY FLIGHT IS DELAYED?
If your flights are delayed, contact us immediately. Depending on the itinerary and the vessel's location, we'll do everything possible to help you join the cruise. Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all guests.
WHEN SHOULD MY FLIGHT ARRIVE?
Recommended arrival times vary by itinerary. Before your cruise, we'll provide detailed joining instructions, including suggested flight schedules, to ensure a smooth embarkation.
CAN YOU HELP WITH DOMESTIC FLIGHTS?
Yes. While we don't issue airline tickets, our team is happy to recommend suitable domestic flights and help coordinate your travel plans with your cruise itinerary.
WHAT WEATHER CAN I EXPECT?
Indonesia enjoys a warm tropical climate throughout the year. Air temperatures typically range between 28°C and 33°C, while water temperatures generally sit between 27°C and 29°C depending on the destination and season.
WHAT DIVING EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?
Certified divers of all experience levels are welcome. Our cruise directors create small dive groups based on certification, recent experience and comfort level, ensuring every guest enjoys a safe and enjoyable diving experience. We also offer beginner and continuing education courses during selected cruises.
HOW LARGE ARE THE DIVE GROUPS?
We limit our dive groups to a maximum of four divers per guide. Smaller groups provide a more personalised experience, improve safety and allow our guides to better assist underwater photographers and marine life enthusiasts.
HOW MANY DIVES ARE OFFERED EACH DAY?
Most itineraries include up to four dives each day, including a sunset or night dive when conditions permit. The exact schedule varies depending on weather, tides and the destination.
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DIVING DAY LOOK LIKE?
Your day usually begins with a light breakfast before the first dive, followed by a full breakfast. After the second dive, lunch is served, with afternoon snacks before the third dive. Dinner follows the final dive of the day, leaving plenty of time to relax between dives.
WHAT ARE THE CURRENTS LIKE?
Current strength varies throughout Indonesia and even between dive sites on the same day. Every dive is carefully planned according to the conditions, and detailed briefings are provided before entering the water.
IS NITROX INCLUDED?
Yes. Complimentary Nitrox is available for all certified Nitrox divers. It allows longer no-decompression limits and can help reduce fatigue over multiple dives during your liveaboard adventure.
WHAT TANKS DO YOU USE?
Standard tanks are 12-litre aluminium cylinders fitted for both DIN and INT regulators. A limited number of 15-litre tanks are also available with advance reservation.
CAN I RENT DIVE EQUIPMENT?
Absolutely. We offer complete rental packages as well as individual items including BCDs, regulators, wetsuits, dive computers, fins, masks, torches and SMBs. We recommend reserving equipment before your cruise.
DO I NEED DIVE INSURANCE?
Yes. Dive insurance covering emergency evacuation and hyperbaric treatment is mandatory for all certified divers. We also strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for every guest.
DO YOU OFFER PADI COURSES?
Yes. We offer a range of PADI courses including Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Enriched Air Nitrox, refreshers and selected speciality courses. Contact us before your trip if you'd like to complete a certification while on board.

SHOULD I TAKE MALARIA PRECAUTIONS?
Malaria risk varies depending on where you travel in Indonesia. We recommend using insect repellent and consulting your doctor before travelling to discuss whether anti-malarial medication is appropriate for your itinerary.
WHAT SHOULD I PACK?
Pack lightweight clothing, swimwear, reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, personal medications, insect repellent, dive certification cards, dive insurance details, chargers and your camera equipment. A light jacket is useful for air-conditioned flights and cooler evenings.
WHAT IS PROVIDED ON BOARD?
We provide towels, environmentally friendly toiletries, hairdryers, fresh drinking water, reusable water bottles and fresh towels for diving. Cabins are serviced daily to ensure a comfortable stay.
